Range
Found in Central and South America
Tamarins live in groups of 2-6 individuals of different ages and gender. It is active during the day and can jump from tree to tree or from tree to ground. This species is known to have jumped from a height of 20m to the ground without showing any signs of injury. The Marmoset lives in a group, where only a few individuals are allowed to mate with each other. Marmoset family contains 1-2 females, one male , their offspring and the adult family. The Marmoset will leave the group when it grows up.
