Habitat

Lowland, dry forest and mountain forest, which height is 2000 metre (m).

Range

It is distributed from northeastern India and southern China into the northwest tip of West Malaysia Peninsula. It is also found in Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Stump-tailed macaques live in groups of 20 to 50, led by dominant males. Like other macaques, they have cheek pouches to store food temporarily while it forages for food. Unlike other macaques, though, stumptailed macaques cannot swim.
