The snakeheads are members of the freshwater perciform fish family Channidae, native to parts of Africa and Asia.

Snakehead usually can be found in the calm freshwater habitats. During dry season, snakehead survive themselves by burying their body in the mud. Snakehead is a predator to other fish species as well as other animals such as insects and frogs within its area.
