The nyala is mainly active in the early morning and the late afternoon.It generally browses during the day if temperatures are 20-30 celcius and during the night in the rainy season. The males can be distinguished by dark gray and pale stripes on the body, while the females are brown. They have 10 or more prominent white stripes on the sides of the body.
