The Buffy Fish-owl, also called the Malay Fish-owl, is a local resident, its Malay name 'ketumbuk ketampi' describe the up-down motion of its head just like doing squats continously knows as ketuk ketampi. Its habitats are woody areas near water, mangroves and paddy fields, as its diets is mostly fish and other aquatic life. This owl's distinctive physical features, stunning yellow eyes, a white spot between its eyebrows and prominant ear tufts.
