The Asiatic Golden Cat is a wild cat about 2 times the size of a domestic cat. Its range is wide, covering South Asia, China and Southeast Asia. Its coat is coarse and come in shades of red, gold, grey or black. A marking that looks like the letter M can be seen on its forehead. The Golden cat subspecies in China is also known as the 'rock cat' because it lives in rocky tracts, and has a spotted coat like the leopard.
